We always seek the best candidates for a role without regard for race, gender, age, physical ability, religion or sexual orientation. We do not set specific numerical targets for recruitment or promotion of particular groups, but place great emphasis on ensuring our pool of candidates is diverse.
In the UK, we run the Pearson Diversity Summer Internship Programme, (under Section 37 of the Race Relations Act 1976) to address the under-representation of ethnic minorities within our company and industry. In the US, we partner with organizations such as The Posse Foundation to recruit interns from a broad cross section of society.
