Pearson consolidates African operations by closing its Namibian office

It’s no secret that COVID-19 has significantly shaken up the global economy. Businesses and organisations from all sectors have been forced to stabilise, reconfigure, and rethink their bottom lines to fit a changing world.

As such, Pearson Global has taken the time to focus its efforts on reviewing its portfolio of products and services across the world and in some markets, will focus its efforts on strategic opportunities that promise to deliver growth.

Mr Jannie Theron, Pearson Africa spokesperson says, “In our response to the global changes in earning and education, we took a decision to close our Namibian office at the end of January 2021. However, we remain committed to Namibia, it has always been an important market in which we will continue to service from our head office in South Africa.”

Our trusted Platinum series which offers the best learning resources and is packed with stimulating content, makes planning and teaching easier for educators and is still on offer in Namibia.

“Education will always remain a critical driver of progress in our world, regardless of the circumstances,” says Theron. “With every end comes a new beginning. So don’t panic, we are still available to assist our educators wherever they may be.”
