And what does that mean? That means that anywhere we had an X in our original function, we're going to substitute a 14. There's only one here and that's inside the radical. So now we've got the square root of instead of X plus 11, it's now 14 plus 11. And bring down that plus 0.5 After the radical doing the addition inside of the Radical 14 plus 11 is 25. Bring down that plus 0.5. Now the square root of 25 is five. Bring down that plus 0.5 and we find that F of 14 equals five plus 0.5 is 5.5. Which matches with answer choice C. Well done.
