So given the structure of this ion here, let's go ahead and actually count our electrons. So of course we have our hidden high regions in this molecule. So I'll just go ahead and fill those in. So we can see that each carbon here. So just each of these corners basically here is surrounded by three atoms. So let's go ahead actually fill one of them. So we'll have carbon here. That means we're connected to another carbon, another carbon and the hydrogen. So two carbons and one hydrogen that makes three atoms being connected to the central carbon here. So if we do that or if we have that. So again we have three atoms surrounded which means that this carbon in the middle here, that's going to be SP two hybridized with one p orbital. So if you have that then we'll have four of these carbons, each with one Of our P. orbital's. That gives us total of four pi electrons. And then we can see here that these two are two minus charge means that we have gained two electrons. So because of that we go ahead and actually add this in as well. That gives us a total of six.
