Based on these molecular views, determine whether each pictured acid is weak or strong.

Hey everyone. So today we're being asked to determine if the assets shown in the image below is either weak or strong acid. Now, the acid here in question is this compound right here, H C 00 H, better known as formic acid. So the difference between a weak and strong acid is that a strong acid will dissociate completely in an aqueous solution. A great example of this is hydrochloric acid when added to water, I could in an increase solution, It will dissociate into H30 plus and cl minus and associates completely. We're only left with the ions that form after the reaction. Looking back at the image, however, we have formic acid and then we have for mate. But this hasn't associated completely. It's still C 00 H. It is not a completely dissociated molecule. It's still a total, it's still a compound somewhat. It's not just a lone molecule or it's not associated completely, even though we still do have hydrogen ions here. So since it did not dissociate completely, it is therefore a weak acid, a weak acid.
