hey everyone, we're told that diagram one shows five mL of a solution of particles at a certain concentration identified the diagram that shows a change in the solution. When the volume of the solution is increased three times to answer this question, we can go ahead and use our formula M one times V one equals M two times V two. Now since they told us that our volume is increased three times we can simply write this as V2 equals three times v. one. So when we rewrite this equation, we end up with M one times V one equals M. Two times three times V one, solving for M. Two. We divide three V one onto both sides. So we get M one times V one divided by three V. One. And when we simplify this we get em two equals M one divided by three. So this means that our second polarity will be one third of the original concentration. So looking at our first diagram, when we count the number of particles, We see that we initially had 21 particles. So in order to find the diagram that shows the change in the solution, this means that the final Needs to be 21 Divided by three. So essentially we're looking for seven particles. Looking at our three other diagrams, The 2nd Diagram has 10 particles. The 3rd 1 has 42 particles And lastly the 4th 1 has seven particles. So this means Diagram four is going to be our answer.
