welcome back everyone determine which acid is the weakest in the falling group. And explain your answer. So we have I OTIK acid. We have our tetra bio acid and then we have hydrogen tele. Right? So let's begin with ionic acid. We have HIV. three. We're going to recall that we have a strong oxy acid when we have at least a ratio of two oxygen's to whatever number of hydrogen is we have. So we'll just say two oxygen's for one hydrogen or more for the oxygen's. We also want to recall that for the non meddle in our acid, we would have a greater amount, sorry, a greater amount of the electro negativity associated with that nonmetal. And that would correspond to a greater oxy acid strength. So in reference to our ionic acid, we can see that we have a ratio of three oxygen's to our one hydrogen atom. And so we have essentially two extra oxygen's than hydrogen, since we have a total of three. And so ultimately this tells us that this acid ionic acid is a strong oxy acid. And so let's compare now to our tetra I did acid which is our formula H I. 04, where we have a ratio of four oxygen's to one hydrogen. And so in this case we have now three extra oxygen's than hydrogen, which also tells us that in this case our tetra I date ion is a stronger oxy acid than our I. O. Tick acid because we have now three extra oxygen's. We can also note that the oxidation number of iodine antibiotic acid is lower than the oxidation number of iodine in our tetra. I did an ion. Now let's move on to our third acid hydrogen telluride. So that's H two T E. 03. Where we would recognize the ratio is going to be three oxygen's to two hydrogen. And so we would confirm that we have one oxygen extra Than the sink or than the two hydrogen is available. We also would recognize that based on our trend for electro negativity, which we recall on our periodic table is going to increase as we go towards the top right to lori. Um is located in Group six A. On our periodic table, where iodine is located in Group seven A. On the periodic table. And so I Dean is going to be more electro negative, meaning that therefore based on these facts above, we would identify our hydrogen telluride acid as the weakest oxy acid. And so for our final answer, we can confirm that the weakest oxy acid is our hydrogen telluride here. And that leaves us with our tetra I date as our strongest Oxy acid out of the three.
