Who we are
The Diversity & Inclusion (“D&I”) team is a central, global resource within Human Resource’s Talent Center of Expertise. Though the team is staffed by a VP & Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion and a Senior Advisor of Diversity & Inclusion, we believe that every Pearson colleague is a Diversity & Inclusion practitioner. Whatever your role at Pearson, you are integral to ensuring that all of our colleagues are valued and included in our organizational work.
To ensure that we have scalable, sustainable impact, our team functions as a global network. In addition to our dedicated D&I staff, we manage a team of Global Diversity & Inclusion Advocates. The Advocates are full-time Pearson employees who apply for and are selected to help implement global D&I principles in their local businesses and offices. We also facilitate the work of employee resource groups (ERGs) globally.
Our Diversity & Inclusion efforts are focused on three primary areas: our people, our culture, and our learners. We strive to embed D&I principles into all business processes and practices.
We seek to:

Employee Resource Groups
Pearson’s employee resource groups (ERGs) give employees opportunities for networking, increased engagement, professional development, and mentorship, and also to contribute to Pearson’s business goals.
ERGs consist of colleagues around the world who join Pearson’s efforts to embed diversity and inclusion into all aspects of our business. Every ERG has a clear mission, charter, and by-laws and is facilitated by our D&I team.
