LONDON: JANUARY 9, 2018: Pearson PLC has appointed Anna Vikström Persson as its new chief human resources officer, joining the company on February 1, 2018.
Anna brings over 20 years of international HR experience to Pearson. She has led human resources teams for major global companies across a variety of business sectors, including telecommunications, manufacturing and engineering.
Most recently, Anna has served as executive vice president and head of group human resources for the global engineering company Sandvik, and similarly for SSAB, a global steel company. In each organisation, she helped drive company-wide transformation programmes, developing strong corporate values with a focus on diversity.
Prior to this, Anna was VP, HR & Organisation for global telecom company Ericsson, where she helped establish a new operating model and organisational structure enabling the company to drive operational excellence, while improving quality and reducing costs.

Born in South Korea and raised in Sweden, Anna has also studied in the US and Germany. She has a certificate in German and a Masters in Law, as well as professional HR qualifications from both London Business School and Michigan Business School.
