Guided Reading Books

Guided Reading Books are Reading Recovery levelled and cover a range of fiction and non-fiction titles from different genres.

They are sequentially organised to build on high-frequency words, sight vocabulary and phonics. This provides the busy teacher with a central consistent resource that is easy to use and easy to manage.

Each stage of Rigby Literacy contains seven fiction and four non-fiction Guided Reading Books.

Benchmark Books

Within the three levels of the Rigby Literacy series (Early, Emergent and Fluent) there are four sub-levels. At the end of each level there is a Benchmark Book that makes it easy for teachers to assess students' reading development.

Teacher Resource Books

There is a teacher resource book for each of the three levels, Early, Emergent and Fluent, which provides brilliant support for planning and implementing a comprehensive literacy strategy for your classroom, catering for a diverse range of student reading abilities.

Blackline Master Books

The blackline master books contain activities designed for small guided reading and writing groups, and for independent learning activities.

These activities will help develop a students' understanding of various text type's structure, build on students' literal, inferential and reflective comprehension skills, and consolidate writing, spelling and grammar skills.

Listening Post Blackline Masters and CDs

The Listening Post CDs for Early, Emergent and Fluent levels contain recordings of fourteen selected texts from the series.

The three CDs are supported by the Listening Post Blackline Masters.
