Teach students how to use data to make smart decisions
Data Analytics Projects

Auto-graded Excel Projects
Auto-graded Excel Projects let you seamlessly integrate Microsoft® Excel® content into your Accounting or Finance course without having to manually grade spreadsheets. Students simply download a spreadsheet, work live on a problem in Excel, and then upload their file back into MyLab. Within minutes, they receive a report that provides personalized, detailed feedback to pinpoint where they went wrong in the problem.
Develop the skills students need for the workforce
Data Analytics Projects
With Mini Simulations (Mini Sims), students can apply course concepts to realistic accounting challenges they’re likely to experience in their future careers. At each point, students receive feedback to help them understand the implications of their choices in the business environment. These mini sims are assignable and auto-graded based on their decisions. (Available in Fall 2023)

Indigenous Perspectives in Accounting
In acknowledgement of Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action #92, Pearson Canada’s Product Team has adopted the “Nothing About Us Without Us” strategy which aims to provide a variety of truthful and valid perspectives in the content that we help to create to include and encompass all who are reading or engaging with our material.
Since 2020, Pearson has worked with Indigenous Subject Matter Experts to include Indigenous Perspectives and to feature stories, businesses and teachings in our texts.
In accounting, we are currently creating cases based on Indigenous business, community, and financial considerations. These cases will relate to learning objectives found within discipline-specific accounting texts and we will provide instructor teaching notes, rubric and auto-grading where possible through MyLab.
These cases will be available for Managerial Accounting in MyLab starting in Fall 2023. These cases are being authored by Dr. Russell Evans (Assistant Professor, Odette School of Business, University of Windsor) from Temagami First Nation.
We hope to be able to provide Indigenous cases for Introductory, Financial, and Taxation by early 2024. These cases are being written by Indigenous subject matter experts and accountants and it is our goal to be able to engage educators and students at a deeper level and to promote learning around Indigenous issues and regulations as they relate to the accounting discipline while continuing Pearson’s own allyship with Indigenous communities across Canada.

Enhance student engagement and preparedness
Learning Catalytics

Dynamic Study Modules
Using a highly personalized, algorithmically driven process, Dynamic Study Modules continuously assess student performance and provide additional practice in the areas where they struggle the most. Each Dynamic Study Module, accessed by computer, smartphone, or tablet, promotes fast learning and long-term retention.
Help when students need it most
Question Help
Question Help consists of homework and practice questions to give students unlimited opportunities to master concepts. If students get stuck, learning aids like Help Me Solve This, eText Pages, and a Calculator walk them through the problem and show them helpful info in the text — giving them assistance when they need it most.
