Pearson VUE Expands Contract to Deliver IBM Exams

Contract Completes Global Range of Delivery

Bloomington, MN - Pearson VUE, an electronic testing business of Pearson Education, today announced it was selected by IBM Corporation to expand the delivery of IBM certification exams to include North America, Central America and South America. Pearson VUE currently offers IBM testing through its Pearson VUE? Authorized Center network in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific; this agreement expands exam delivery coverage to the entire global network of Pearson VUE Authorized Centers. Exam delivery in the Americas began December 11, 2002.

IBM certifications offer solutions for skilled Information Technology professionals seeking to demonstrate their technical expertise. IBM certification programs are designed to validate IT skills and demonstrate proficiency in the latest technology and solutions. The IBM certification programs serve the needs of network administrators, systems integrators, network integrators, solution architects, value-added resellers, technical coordinators, sales representatives and educational trainers.

The Pearson VUE Testing System is the internationally recognized testing system installed in Pearson VUE Authorized Centers. This system provides advanced testing solutions, such as the mobile test delivery feature used by IBM and other certifying organizations to provide on-site test delivery at conferences throughout the world. Mobile testing, along with on-demand classroom testing and the TESTNOW!? same-day test registration feature, demonstrate the flexibility and convenience of the testing system.
