For 20 years, Pearson has partnered with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) to distribute high-quality, industry-approved curriculum, testing, and certifications to academic partners in high school, higher education, and directly into industry training programmes.

Including course materials and trainings for 70 different skilled crafts and over 80 different assessments, our partnership with NCCER has helped learners develop the skills they need to get better-paying jobs. In addition to credentials, our work with NCCER also brings employers into the mix, providing apprenticeship opportunities for students to get real-world experience that makes them ready for work.

There are over 67,000 craft instructors within NCCER's network and over 14 million module completions delivered to students and craft professionals internationally. While primarily used in the United States, there is a growing interest to continue to scale these credentials worldwide as large, global employers look for qualified workers to fill their jobs.

NCCER is one example of how we are connecting employers, institutions, government, and learners to help tackle employability challenges and help improve learners’ work-readiness to succeed in the jobs of tomorrow.
