An Ordinary Man, published by Viking/Penguin in the US is the inside look into Paul Rusesabagina's life, both before and after the tragic events in Rwanda in 1994. Rusesabagina describes his experience as the hotel manager of the exclusive Hôtel Milles Collines. By confronting killers with a combination of diplomacy, flattery and deception, he managed to shelter more than 1,200 Tutsis and Hutu moderates during the weeks of slaughter in Rwanda. His heroic story was made into the award-winning film Hotel Rwanda.
