Pearson Education and EduKan, the Western Kansas Community College Virtual Education Consortium, announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership. This new relationship formally establishes Pearson Education as EduKan’s preferred vendor of course content. Pearson Education will also provide Premier Membership Services to EduKan including extensive resources for the faculty members of all six of the community colleges working together to form the consortium.

"We are delighted to provide the EduKan consortia with our expertise in online technology initiatives and content in this innovative partnership," said Don Kilburn, President of Pearson Custom Publishing and Educational Alliances. "As educational publishing's market leader in the online space, Pearson Education is committed to supporting excellence in online teaching and education."

Some of the services Pearson Education will provide to EduKan and its member schools include streamlined web access to electronic and print content resources, heightened ability to customize and use Pearson's content in courses, and ongoing product and technical support from Pearson Education. Web-based member support will be provided through links to Pearson via the EduKan website (http://www.edukan.org/).
