Terms of Access
By clicking "Buy Now" or using any Fixed-Duration Products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Access, which is a binding contract with Pearson Education, Inc. for the benefit of itself and its affiliates (collectively, “we,” “us,” or "Pearson").
Pearson offers access to certain educational or other content (“Pearson+ Content”) on the Pearson+ platform (otherwise referred to as “Pearson+ Services,” “our Services,” or “the Services”). This access to Pearson+ Content may be provided on a lifetime or fixed-duration, time-limited basis (“Fixed-Duration Products”), or as a subscription (“Subscription Products”).
By accessing or using any Fixed-Duration Products, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Access, and you agree to use any Services and Fixed-Duration Products according to these Terms of Access. (To the extent you are accessing or using any Subscription Products through the Pearson+ Services, the Subscription Agreement will apply, rather than these Terms of Access.) These Terms of Access allow you, for the duration of your access period, to access the relevant Fixed-Duration Products on certain Internet-connected mobile devices, desktop computers, and other supported devices (“Supported Devices”). The terms for the various Fixed-Duration Products offered through the Pearson+ Services may vary. These Terms of Access provides details on any product-specific terms to the extent the terms vary for a specific Fixed-Duration Product offered through the Pearson+ Services or otherwise.
These Terms of Access incorporate by reference Pearson’s Universal Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“UTOS”), and your use of the Pearson+ Services and Fixed-Duration Products is subject to the terms set forth therein. We’ve tried to ensure that the terms of these Terms of Access and the UTOS are consistent, but if there is any conflict between them relating to your use of the Fixed-Duration Products offered through the Pearson+ Services or otherwise, the terms of these Terms of Access will prevail.
The section headings contained below are for your convenience only, and do not have any legal meaning or effect.

All licenses are non-transferrable.
With Lifetime Access, you may download your eTextbook only during the initial five-year period, and the download can be accessed only through our free Pearson+ apps. Device management rules apply. Details regarding your access period and status may be viewed and managed in your Pearson+ account settings.
“Six-Month Access” is a one-time purchase of an eTextbook in Pearson+ for a fixed access period of six (6) months. You will be prompted at the point of purchase to make your decision. Details regarding your access period and status may be viewed and managed in your Pearson+ account settings.

You will have two charges at the time you purchase your Lifetime Bundle: one upfront payment for the Lifetime Access eTextbook, and the other for the first month of your Study Prep subscription. Details regarding your access period and status may be viewed and managed in your Pearson+ account settings.
2.3 MyLab/Mastering + Study Prep Bundle

The length of this period will be stated at the point of purchase and in the order confirmation email. Details about the status of your MyLab/Mastering access can also be found in your MyLab/Mastering account settings.
3. Promotional Offers
Through the Pearson+ Services, we may from time to time provide you with promotional offers, plans, access or subscriptions for additional products or services from Pearson or third parties. Eligibility for Pearson-provided offers is determined solely by Pearson, and we reserve the right to revoke offers and/or product or service access if we determine you are not eligible. In the event that a Pearson-provided offer mistakenly lists an incorrect price or offer term, Pearson reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the offered product or service, whether or not the order has been confirmed and whether or not you have been charged for such offer, product, or service.
Eligibility for, and the terms and conditions governing, third-party offers and product or service access are determined solely by the third-party. Pearson is not responsible for any aspect of such third-party offers, or the delivery, quality, or satisfaction of any related third-party products or services.
4. Payment, Billing, & Price Changes
Payment Methods. You may pay for your subscription using: (1) a valid Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or JCB credit card or debit card; (2) Apple Pay; or (3) PayPal (each a “Payment Method”). We may authorize your Payment Method in anticipation of subscription-related or other charges through various methods, including authorizing it for the total amount due for the Six-Month Access eTextbook or Six-Month Bundle as soon as you purchase, even if you have elected to pay for your Six-Month Access eTextbook or Six-Month Bundle in monthly installments. If your payment fails for any reason, your access may be temporarily suspended for you to correct the issue. If the issue is not corrected, your access may be suspended indefinitely or terminated.
Changes to the Price and Subscription Plans. We reserve the right to change our access periods or adjust pricing for the Pearson+ Service or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion.
5. Cancellation, Refunds, & Credits
Cancellation and Refund. You may cancel your standalone eTextbook (whether Six-Month or Lifetime Access), Six-Month Bundle, or MLM Bundle access and request a full refund during the refund period described at your time of purchase (“Refund Period”) by going to your account, or contacting Pearson Support. If you cancel your eTextbook, Six-Month Bundle or MLM Bundle access and request a refund during the Refund Period, your access to the relevant product and Services will end immediately. After your Refund Period, your eTextbook, Six-Month Bundle or
MLM Bundle purchase price is nonrefundable. Except as provided in this Section 5, Pearson will not provide a refund or credit for partially used access periods.
Credits. At any time, and for any reason at our sole discretion, we may provide a refund, discount, or other consideration to some or all of our customers that is outside the policies set forth above in this Section 5. The amount and form of such credits, and the decision to provide them, are at our sole and absolute discretion. The provision of any such credits in one instance does not entitle you to credits in the future for similar instances, nor does it obligate us to provide any such credits in the future, under any circumstance.
