Pearson Edexcel international qualifications are recognised and accepted for entry by universities all over the world. Each year, we conduct a survey among international school leavers to understand where their Pearson Edexcel international qualifications are taking them. 

In July 2025, students from MAZ International School, Malaysia demonstrated how a strong curriculum and dedicated mentorship can nurture students’ potential. Competing against thousands of peers nationwide, five teams of young innovators won judges over with their creativity and technical skills in two prestigious artificial intelligence (AI) competitions hosted by Sunway University and Monash University in Malaysia. 

We know international schools all around the world want science qualifications that are rigorous, fair, and recognised by top universities. Assessing practical skills through written papers offers distinct advantages for international students over live practical exams and provides a cost-effective alternative to live practical exams without disadvantaging students in university admissions.

In may seem like a cliche but in today’s rapidly evolving world, the landscape of education and assessment is changing to keep pace with shifting societal and economic demands. As global economies become more interconnected and technology reshapes the nature of work, education and qualifications must adapt to equip more students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in a new world. This means moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach and towards systems that prioritise student choice, flexibility, and personalisation.
