Sky News Online and FT.Com announce new content partnership

Sky News Online and FT.com, the online partner of the Financial Times, today announced a significant personal finance content partnership.

Under the deal, the first of its kind between the two international media companies, FTyourmoney, the UK personal finance channel of FT.com, has partnered with Sky News Online to create a tailored personal finance site specifically designed for Sky News users.

This unique partnership means that Sky News users will be brought a completely independent review of the personal finance world from the strongest business brand in the market.

From today, the Sky News website (www.sky.com/news), whose usage has almost tripled over the past 12 months, will offer users a personal finance site called Your Money. Through this site, Sky users will be able to access expert information on a comprehensive range of personal finance topics, including credit cards, loans, insurance, ISAs, investments, banking, saving and mortgages.

This partnership will give Sky News Online users access to a wide range of FTyourmoney’s interactive personal finance features and calculators. For example, users will be able to compare their current mortgage with other deals, or be guided through the myriad of ISAs on offer at this time of year.

Steve Bennedik, who heads Sky News Interactive, said “This new partnership brings together two of the most respected global media brands. The Sky News Your Money site will provide our users with an invaluable, accessible service at a time of year when many consumers are reassessing their finances. By building partnerships such as this, we hope to broaden the appeal even further of what is already one of the most popular UK news sites.”

Michael Murphy, chief operating officer, FT.com, said “ FT.com is one of the world's leading providers of premium business and financial content, and is uniquely able to deliver the most authoritative UK personal finance information on the market. We are confident that Sky News users will find this a valuable addition to their service.”
