Penguin Decades

To celebrate its 75th birthday, Penguin in the UK is publishing Penguin Decades: 20 novels that helped shape modern Britain.

When they were first published, some were bestsellers, some were considered scandalous, and others were simply misunderstood. All represent their time and helped define their generation, while today each is considered a landmark work of storytelling.

Spanning the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, there will be five titles in the series from each decade, with cover artwork by leading artists and designers. They include:
