There's Nuffin like a Puffin: Celebrating 70 years of Puffin

There's Nuffin like a Puffin

The first Puffin picture books were hatched in 1940 and the first story book featured a man with broomstick arms called Worzel Gummidge. Since then the little yellow Puffin logo has become one of the world's most iconic and recognised children's book brands.

To celebrate 70 years, Puffin is publishing a range of special books for all ages, from Pocket Money Puffins – new stories by top Puffin authors – to relaunched Puffin Modern Classics, to two glorious volumes for adults looking at Puffin's past, present and future: So Much to Tell: The Story of Kaye Webb, Puffin's Greatest Editor and Puffin by Design, a look at Puffin's amazing design heritage.

Puffin handbookLook out for other birthday celebrations, including National Puffin Share-a-Story Day and free copies of The Puffin Handbook – the perfect little guide to the 70 best books for children.
