Content: This course introduces human behavior. It includes the study of the theories and concepts of psychology including the scope of psychology, biological foundations and the brain, sensation, perception, motivation, personality, learning/memory, emotion, states of consciousness, personality theories, cognition, life-span development, and applied psychology.
Degree Requirements: This course satisfies the Lower level "Introduction to Psychology" requirement within many undergraduate degrees.
Platform. The course is delivered via an online learning management system (LMS) called Canvas. Canvas is accessible from either a web-browser or dedicated Canvas app for iOS or Android.
Transferability. Each of AP's institutional partners is regionally accredited. Regional accreditation is the gold standard for college accreditation in the United States. This means this course can be transferred to almost any college in the country, subject to approval by the college to which the course will be transferred. Prior to enrolling, we advise you to check with your targeted degree-granting college or university and ensure that they will allow you to transfer this course.
