Weaving Well-Being
The more you weave.. the better you feel!
Weaving Well-Being is a positive mental health programme that aims to enhance wellbeing in primary school children, within the frameworks of the UK personal and health education curricula and is grounded in the principles of positive psychology, the science of wellbeing.

Why it works:
- Learning about wellbeing helps children develop a set of skills and tools to become more resilient and happier in everyday life.
- Written by experts to support and improve children's social, emotional, physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Can be used in different year levels based on the needs and abilities of the individual students.
- Supports a whole-school approach.
How the programme is stuctured:
- Weaving Well-being is divided into 5 levels, one each for years 2-6 (P3-P7). Each level consists of 10 lessons and covers a specific wellbeing topic:
Year 2- Character Strengths
Year 3- Positive Emotions
Year 4- Tools of Resilience
Year 5- Positive Relationships
Year 6- Empowering Beliefs
- Teacher guides introduce teachers to the science of wellbeing and the aims of the programme.
- Includes links to the relevant PSHE/PHE/PDMU programme of study lesson objectives (for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) for ease of planning.
