As each child progresses differently, these pathways are for guidance only. Some children will achieve their goals more quickly or slowly than the suggested time frames. If a child completes a pathway earlier than expected you can simply put those credits towards therapy for another child, ensuring your budget is put to good use.

Speech and language pathways
Booking sessions is as flexible as you need it to be. You may want to book in ad-hoc sessions, depending on the needs of your pupils, or you may want to know how many sessions are required in order to plan your budget.

Social Communication
This course of therapy will help to identify the specific areas the young person is struggling with and explicitly support the young person to understand this and what they can do to better socialise with peers.
- Duration: 10 weeks

Developmental Language Disorder
During this course of therapy, a speech and language therapist will work with the young person and target their specific language needs. The therapist will develop language skills and introduce strategies which will help the young person to communicate effectively, whilst increasing their ability to access educational and social activities.
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Cost: 8 credits

Stammering
On this pathway, a speech and language therapist will work with the child to increase their knowledge of stammering and will help your child to begin to accept their stammer in order to reduce any negative thought cycles. The therapist will also introduce some helpful tips which the child can use to help manage their stammer.

Speech Sound Delay / Disorder
This course of therapy is for children who present with Speech sound difficulties, maybe unintelligible, even to familiar listeners. The therapist will provide support in terms of their ability to communicate and interact with those around them, as well as helping in the remediation of their specific difficulty.

Auditory Processing
Pupils with APD may have difficulties in higher order language, learning and communication functions. APD often coexist with other disorders such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder [ADHD], language impairment and learning disability.

Hearing Impairment Enrichment
We believe listening and spoken language intervention should be available as soon as possible after a hearing loss diagnosis and we work with parents and school settings to achieve this. This pathway is a course of intensive speech and language therapy, targeting specific goals which address a child’s functional communication needs.

Early Reading Support
This course is designed to help young people who are struggling to learn phonics despite targeted interventions being put in place. The therapist will address attention and listening skills, auditory discrimination, phonological awareness and early segmenting and blending skills.

Early Reading Support for children with Autism
This course is designed to help young people with an Autism diagnosis, who are struggling to learn phonics despite targeted interventions being put in place. The therapist will address attention and listening skills, auditory discrimination, phonological awareness and reading for meaning.

Generalised Anxiety
Anxiety can be seen in most classrooms and often feels debilitating for the young person suffering. It can lead to poor attendance and an inability to engage with school, as student’s struggle to deal with symptoms which feel overwhelming.
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Cost: 12 credits

School Reintegration
The global pandemic, as well as prolonged time at home, has left some students struggling with the return to school. They may be reluctant to come to school, struggling to regulate their emotions or you may have seen a change in their behaviour.
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Cost: 9 credits

Childhood Depression
For those young people really struggling with depressive symptoms, our counsellors can offer the support and space to talk these feelings through. We will help the student to come up with a plan for when they’re feeling overwhelmed and we’ll support them to set solution-focused goals.

- Cost: 12 credits

Family Therapy
Our family therapy service aims to offer support to those young people whose home lives are impacting on their feelings and behaviour in school. Our family therapists create a safe, non-judgemental space where the whole family can get support in establishing effective lines of communication.
- Duration: 3 weeks
- Cost: 6 credits

Bereavement/loss
On this pathway, our counsellor will offer the young person the space and support needed to process their loss and accept the lasting impact it will have on their life. They will support the child to envisage a happy future, despite their loss.
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Cost: 12 credits

Social Anxiety
On this pathway, our counsellor will support the young person to explore the origins of their social anxiety, in order to recognise and reprogram any negative messages they’ve internalised. The young person will be given strategies to recognise triggers and manage symptoms when they occur.
