At Pearson, we know learning doesn’t end in the classroom. What is taught in schools and homes can unlock a world of experiences and opportunities, as well as harness the talent, passion and kindness needed for the future.
As part of the free-to-enter World Changer Awards, we want students to take inspiration from the incredible acts of citizenship witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic and to think about how else they can work to make a positive and tangible impact on their communities and beyond.
We want young people to learn from leading environmentalists, creatives, activists and entrepreneurs who are sparking change, and for them to use the skills, strengths and ambition fostered in classrooms for good in the wider world. This might include environmental initiatives, an enterprising business idea, or championing good causes through languages or sport.
These awards will aim to ignite passion and purpose for a range of subjects across the curriculum, from business studies and languages to the humanities and the creatives, by showcasing how the principles they underpin can be practically applied for good in real life.
To help educators and parents inspire their young pioneers, our World Changer activity kit, with resources and tasks linked to a range of subject areas, can be downloaded here.
