Pearson are working on creating assessment materials, specification and EPA Resource packs based on this updated version.
Inline with the apprenticeship funding rules August 2021 to July 2022, there have been some clarifications and new rules specific to end-point assessment. For ease, we have listed these here:
Clarification – in the funding guidance, references to Functional Skills Qualifications temporary flexibilities have now ended.
The stretch and challenge requirement for Level 2 apprentices to attempt Level 2 Functional Skills has been suspended for those learners with an end on or before 31 December 2021. Full details are available here: Functional Skills requirements
New Rule - Dialogue with the end point assessment organisation must commence at least 6 months before the planned end date of the apprenticeship.
New Rule - To reflect that the employer must both select and negotiate the price with the EPAO at least 6 months before the apprentice reaches the gateway.

Pearson are delighted to announce that the new Workskills suites at Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 have now been approved.
The first teaching date is 1 August, 2021. Due to funding restrictions in England, these new suites will replace the 2017 versions from this date.
We would however encourage centres to migrate to the updated versions that we feel are more purposeful. Pre-publication specifications can be downloaded from our main WorkSkills webpages here:
In addition to support documents that will be published soon, we have provided recorded briefings to help explain the changes to centres. Recordings can be accessed here:
Please note: If you are already approved to deliver our WorkSkills suite, we will auto approve you for the new qualifications.
