Hello everyone today. We have the following problem shown below are the electron distributions in the S. D. Band of three medals rank them in order of increasing melting point. So it's important to note a couple of key components. So the more electrons that we have in the bonding orbital's, the higher our melting point. Also, the more electrons that we have in our anti bonding orbital's, the less our melting point will be. So we will have a lower melting point. And so if you look at one, we see that all of the anti bonding electrons have been filled and so as a result, one has the lowest melting point. And so we can get rid of answer choices B and see If you look at answer choice three or option three. We notice that there are only bonding electrons filled in the orbital's and so we're going to have the highest melting point in the three, leaving us with answer choice A as our answer overall, I hope this helped and until next time.
