Guida verificata passo dopo passo1
Understand the function of each type of photoreceptor in the retina: Rods, Cones, Bipolar cells, and Ganglion cells.
Rods are photoreceptors that are highly sensitive to low light levels and are primarily responsible for night vision.
Cones are photoreceptors that function best in bright light and are responsible for color vision and visual acuity.
Bipolar cells are not photoreceptors; they are interneurons in the retina that transmit signals from rods and cones to ganglion cells.
Ganglion cells are also not photoreceptors; they receive visual information from bipolar cells and transmit it to the brain via the optic nerve.
