A
The somatic division only affects skeletal muscles, while the autonomic division only affects cardiac muscles.
B
The somatic division is responsible for involuntary functions, while the autonomic division controls voluntary movements.
C
The somatic division controls voluntary movements, while the autonomic division regulates involuntary functions.

Guida verificata passo dopo passo1
Identify the two divisions of the nervous system mentioned: somatic and autonomic.
Understand the primary function of the somatic division: it controls voluntary movements, primarily affecting skeletal muscles.
Understand the primary function of the autonomic division: it regulates involuntary functions, affecting cardiac muscles, smooth muscles, and glands.
Recognize that the somatic division is part of the peripheral nervous system, not the central nervous system.
Recognize that the autonomic division is also part of the peripheral nervous system, responsible for involuntary control.
