I pulsanti di controllo sono stati cambiati in modalità "navigazione".
1/18
  • Base

Supports the microscope and rests on the workbench.

  • Arm

Supports the objective lens tube and the ocular lens tube; used to carry the microscope.

  • Course Focus Adjustment

Moves the stage or the objective lens tube up and down quickly for rough focusing.

  • Fine Focus Adjustment

Allows slow and precise focusing by moving the stage or objective lens tube slightly.

  • Eye Piece (Ocular Lens)

Magnifies the image formed by the objective lens; usually 10x magnification.

  • Objective Lens

Produces the primary magnified image; usually has multiple lenses with different magnifications.

  • Stage

Supports the slide being observed; has a hole to allow light to pass through.

  • Stage Clips

Hold the slide firmly in place on the stage.

  • Diaphragm (Iris Diaphragm)

Controls the amount of light passing through the stage opening.

  • Light Source

Provides light that passes through the specimen for viewing.

  • Revolving Nosepiece

Holds the objective lenses and allows switching between them by rotating.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 1)

Place the microscope on a flat surface and plug it in if it has a light source.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 2)

Turn on the light source and adjust the diaphragm to control light intensity.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 3)

Place the slide on the stage and secure it with stage clips.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 4)

Start focusing with the lowest power objective lens using the coarse focus knob.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 5)

Use the fine focus knob to sharpen the image.

  • How to Use a Microscope (Step 6)

Switch to higher power objectives if needed and refocus using the fine focus knob.

  • Magnification Calculation

    Total magnification = \(\text{ocular lens magnification} \times \text{objective lens magnification}\)
