Identify the expression where the Distributive Property needs to be applied. The Distributive Property states that for any numbers a, b, and c, the expression \(a(b + c)\) can be rewritten as $ab + ac$.
Look for terms inside parentheses that are being multiplied by a factor outside the parentheses. For example, if you have an expression like \(k(m + n)\), you will distribute \(k\) to both \(m\) and \(n\).
Apply the Distributive Property by multiplying the term outside the parentheses by each term inside the parentheses separately. This means rewriting \(k(m + n)\) as $km + kn$.
After distributing, combine like terms if possible. Like terms are terms that have the same variable raised to the same power.
Write the simplified expression after distribution and combining like terms, if any. This will be your final expression after applying the Distributive Property.
