Guida verificata passo dopo passo1
Understand the role of ozone (O\_3) in Earth's atmosphere, particularly in the stratosphere, where it forms the ozone layer.
Recall that the ozone layer protects living organisms by absorbing harmful radiation from the Sun.
Identify the types of electromagnetic radiation listed: infrared, ultraviolet, microwave, and visible light.
Recognize that ultraviolet (UV) radiation has higher energy than visible light and can cause damage to DNA and living cells.
Conclude that ozone molecules absorb ultraviolet radiation, preventing most of it from reaching the Earth's surface.
