Guida verificata passo dopo passo1
Understand that the periodic table is organized in two main directions: horizontally and vertically.
The horizontal rows in the periodic table are called 'Periods'. Each period corresponds to the filling of a different electron shell.
The vertical columns are called 'Groups' or 'Families', which contain elements with similar chemical properties.
The term 'Blocks' refers to sections of the periodic table based on the electron subshell being filled (s, p, d, f blocks), not rows or columns.
Therefore, the correct term for the rows of the periodic table is 'Periods'.
