Guida verificata passo dopo passo1
Understand the key terms in the question: 'pleasurable activity engaged in for its own sake' refers to the motivation behind the behavior.
Recall that intrinsic motivation is when a person performs an activity because it is inherently enjoyable or satisfying, without external rewards.
Recognize that extrinsic motivation involves performing a behavior to earn external rewards or avoid punishment, which does not fit the description.
Note that operant conditioning and classical conditioning are learning processes, not types of motivation, so they are not the correct answers here.
Conclude that the term describing a pleasurable activity done for its own sake is 'intrinsic motivation'.
