Understand that the scientific method in psychology follows a systematic sequence of steps to investigate phenomena.
Recognize that after formulating hypotheses and predictions, the next logical step is to design a method to empirically test these hypotheses.
This involves planning and conducting an experiment or study where variables are manipulated or observed to gather data relevant to the hypotheses.
Collect and analyze the data obtained from the experiment to determine whether the hypotheses are supported or not.
Based on the results, draw conclusions and consider how these findings contribute to existing theories or the development of new theories.
