In which way do regional variations in NPP affect ecosystem dynamics?

Areas with higher NPP support larger populations and greater species diversity

Areas with lower NPP have higher biodiversity due to less competition

NPP variations have no effect on ecosystem dynamics

Lower NPP regions support more biomass than higher NPP regions
