Researching GCSE Mathematics

We assembled evidence from a range of sources to support the validity, reliability, and fairness of GCSE Mathematics in assessing subject knowledge.

In June 2017, we commissioned a number of internal and external reports, reviews and analyses, including an impact evaluation report, the Summer 2017 Assessment Monitoring Technical Report.

This report examined the qualification’s implementation and effectiveness over the first two cycles of its enactment for Year 11 students (2017-18).
