The SMART Scholarship for Service Program is a unique opportunity for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to advance their education and launch their careers. The program provides merit based scholarships to students pursuing bachelor�s, master�s, and doctoral degrees in STEM fields. SMART scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, summer internships, and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense following graduation. Applications open each year on August 1 and close on the first Friday in December. Students are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and apply to take the first step toward a successful future in STEM.
