NYU is a scholarship provider on behalf of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology Robotics.) This one-time $2,000 scholarship is awarded to facilitate the stated mission of FIRST® — to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. High school students who have participated or are participating in high-school-level FIRST Robotics Competition and/or FIRST Tech Challenge teams are eligible to apply. Students must complete a brief application and submit one letter of recommendation before confirming their decision to matriculate at NYU Tandon.
