Awarding Process

There will be four individual recipients of the FIRST x Futures Scholarship and each will be awarded $2,000.

  1. Evaluation: Once the application deadline is met, an evaluation committee will review all applications to ensure they meet eligibility requirements. The applicants that meet eligibility requirements will then be considered by a standard evaluation rubric which will score their response to the required application question. Four applicants will be chosen as the scholarship recipients.
  2. Notification: The four scholarship recipients will be notified via email on June 8, 2026.
  3. Payment: The four recipients will receive their $2,000 scholarship as a lump sum payment, that will be paid directly to their intended college or university in their name. The award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD).
