Accessibility

Pearson Benelux B.V., Kabelweg 37, 1014 BA Amsterdam

This statement on digital accessibility applies to our website www.pearson.com/nl. We are committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Accessible Products and Services Act, which came into force on June 28, 2025 as part of the European Accessibility Act 2019/882 (EAA).

Conformance Status

Pearson.com/nl  is currently partially compliant with the requirements of the Accessible Products and Services Act and EU Directive 2019/882. We are constantly working to improve the digital accessibility of our website.

Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • PDF documents: Some of our PDF documents are currently not accessible due to technical limitations. We are working to provide these contents in an accessible version in the future. Most PDFs we provide are well-structured and can be read well by screen readers.
  • Video’s: Some of our embedded videos currently do not have subtitles or only have automatically generated subtitles that have not been reviewed by us. Our own, new videos will always have subtitles. We have no control over videos from external sources.
  • Images without alternative text: Some informative images on the website do not have alternative text. We are continuously reviewing and updating these contents.
  • Zoom >300%: Content may be less visible or overlap with the header of the page.

Technical constraints that have not yet been updated due to disproportionate costs

Some barriers on our website cannot be resolved in the short term for reasons of economic reasonableness:

  • Historical content: Older content created before the current accessibility guidelines came into effect may not be fully accessible. Subsequent adaptation of this content would require disproportionately high effort.
  • Language switching: When switching between languages, some product descriptions may not display properly.

Report Barriers and Contact

If you experience a problem with the accessibility of our website, kindly report it to us first. Please include the page and section where you noticed the limitation.

Surveillance Authority

Under the EAA, each EU country is required to designate a national supervisory body to verify that organizations covered by the EAA meet the legal accessibility requirements. In the Netherlands, this is the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), If we don't find a solution together, you can contact the regulatory body.

Date of Creation of This Accessibility Statement

This statement was created on July 4, 2025. Compliance has been verified with internal tools such as Evinced, which screen our website for WCAG standards.

We have prepared this statement with great care and update it regularly. Should you experience a problem, please let us know via the aforementioned reporting function.
