Products & Services for Institutions
Digital Textbook Options
Pearson offers different types and formats of digital textbooks (or eTexts), and can provide these to your institution through a variety of channels. All eTextbooks offer the ability for students to highlight and take notes and can be accessed both online and offline. All eTextbooks are available both on the Pearson learner store (if you want your students to purchase directly) as well as through our channel partners. Our eTextbooks are designed to be read on a number of external digital reading platforms, including VitalSource, Adobe Digital Editions and more. Most platforms provide two options for purchase: a 180 day subscription (where students can access the title for 6 months), or perpetual access (a download with no expiry). The standard file format for these eTextbooks are uPDFs or ePubs, and pricing for eTextbooks varies by title.
There are many purchase and access options for students who want to use eTextbooks. Not only do we provide a direct channel (through our learner store) for students to purchase, but we also partner with eTextbook distributors to allow institutions to make bulk purchases and provide groups of students with instant access. Below is a summary of the partners that enable eTextbook purchases:
