Analyze and predict the outcome of equilibrium reactions, including chemical and physical equilibria.
Demonstrate understanding of acids, bases, and buffers, including pH calculations and buffer systems.
Identify functional groups in organic compounds and their chemical properties.
Recognize and interpret basic types of organic chemistry reactions, such as addition, substitution, and elimination.
Describe key concepts related to carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids in biological chemistry.
Demonstrate understanding of the concept of enzymes and receptors in regulation of biological processes.
Name and draw familiarity with key metabolic pathways in biochemistry.
Demonstrate understanding of basic bioenergetics concepts, including energy flow in biological systems.

Course Policies
Attendance
Minimum of 75% attendance required to receive course credit.
Online attendance is tracked via assignment completion and web access.
Late Submission of Assignments
Homework: May be submitted up to one week late, with a 10% deduction per day.
After one week, late homework will not be accepted.
Tests and Quizzes: Must be taken on time unless an excused absence is provided.
Course Withdrawal
Withdraw by October 31, 2025 for a "W" grade.
Withdraw after October 31, 2025 results in an "F" grade.
