Course Structure and Schedule

Overview

This course schedule outlines the structure, key dates, and assessment policies for ECON 2105E, a college-level Macroeconomics course. The schedule is organized into modules, each with specific reading assignments and associated assessments. Understanding the schedule and assessment rules is essential for successful course completion.

Module Organization

  • Modules: The course is divided into Modules A through G, each corresponding to specific textbook chapters and sections.

  • Readings: Each module includes assigned textbook sections (e.g., 1.1–1.4, 2.1–2.5, etc.) to be completed before the module test.

  • Study Plans: Suggested study plans are provided for each module to help students pace their learning. These are for practice and do not directly affect the course grade.

Assessment Structure

  • Introductory Test: Must be completed before accessing Module A Test. This test does not affect the course grade but is required for progression.

  • Module Tests: Each module concludes with a mandatory test covering only the assigned readings for that module. Tests must be completed in order (e.g., Module B Test is unlocked only after completing Module A Test).

  • Final Exam: The final exam is cumulative, covering all course content. All students must take the final exam; no final exam grades are dropped.

  • Grade Policy: The lowest Module Test grade will be dropped at the end of the semester, even if it is a zero.

Key Policies and Deadlines

  • Due Dates: All due dates and times are based on Athens, Georgia, USA time zone. Students are responsible for tracking local time differences.

  • Submission Deadlines: Module Tests must be submitted before 8:58 pm on the specified due date. Late submissions are not accepted under any circumstances.

  • Order of Completion: Module Tests must be taken in sequence; access to each test is conditional on completion of the previous one.

  • Practice Questions: Study Plan questions are for practice only and do not count toward the course grade.

  • Supplementary Material: Appendices and mathematical notes at the end of textbook chapters are not required unless specified.
