Grading Policy

  • Midterm 1: 25%

  • Midterm 2: 25%

  • Final Exam: 35%

  • Attendance: 15%

Attendance Policy

  • Attendance is mandatory and will be recorded at each lecture.

  • Students are required to attend all lectures in person.

  • Absences with an official excuse approved by the university are eligible for a make-up exam.

  • Remedial Exam is not given in this course.

Academic Integrity and Plagiarism

Students are expected to adhere to the university's Student Code of Conduct, which prohibits cheating, plagiarism, collusion, and impersonation. All assignments must be completed individually or by the assigned team, without unauthorized assistance.

  • Plagiarism: Defined as using someone else's written statements or ideas without proper acknowledgment. This includes both intentional and accidental plagiarism.

  • Intentional Plagiarism: Deliberately copying another's work and presenting it as one's own.

  • Accidental Plagiarism: Failing to properly paraphrase or cite sources, even if unintentional.

To avoid plagiarism:

  • Use quotation marks for direct quotes and cite the source.

  • Paraphrase ideas in your own words and provide proper references.

  • Do not use materials prepared by instructors or other students without proper citation.
