<v ->Welcome to lesson number one.</v> In this lesson, we're gonna talk about the data life cycle. So we're first gonna introduce you to, what are all the mechanics that go in place when a business question is actually asked of you as a business analyst? And then we're gonna talk about how power BI actually fits into that. Next, we're gonna introduce the Power BI environments. We're gonna talk about all the pieces that actually go into Power BI to make it work so that you can get comfortable with the terminology and the high level architecture around Power BI. Next, we're gonna move into a discussion on licensing because licensing is important when we actually start moving our work into the Power BI service. So a grounding in how licensing works at a high level is really important. Next, we'll talk about Power BI release cycles. Power BI, along with a lot of other cloud-based tools, accelerate and bring new features and functions in at a more rapid pace than we've probably ever seen in our lifetime. So this release cycle is not only unique to just Power BI, but it's something we need to get a handle on as we start doing more with Power BI so that we can keep up with the changes in technologies and just to understand why a lot of this is happening and keep up with it. And lastly, we're gonna talk about setting your environment up. You likely want to actually follow through and do some of the exercises in this class as we move through some of these sub lessons. So we're gonna direct you to the GitHub site where we have all the sample files, and show you how to actually get set up and get you going in the right direction. Even though the setup is really your responsibility, we want to at least kind of get you moving in the right direction so you can set up and be successful, so you can follow through the lessons in this class if you want. You don't actually have to follow through the lessons in this class if you don't want. You can just observe and see how things are working. So that's an option as well. But a lot of people do like to actually follow through. So we're gonna go ahead and give you some instructions on doing that. All right, let's begin.
