Webinar series

A free, live webinar series supporting English language educators to use assessment with confidence, connect insights to classroom practice, and improve student outcomes.

Teachers receive a professional development certificate for each webinar attended. They can also earn a Credly digital badge and a Teacher Training Academy completion certificate by attending six out of seven webinars. Additional webinars will be added later in the year.

Magda Woodham is a teacher educator at Pearson, where she supports the professional development of teachers globally in preparing learners for Pearson English language tests. She holds both a DELTA and an MA in TESOL, and has many years of international experience in a wide range of ELT roles.

Dr Veronica Benigno is a Principal Research Scientist at Pearson. She provides research insights into product development, helping teams integrate the GSE into learning design and AI solutions. Previously, she worked as teacher, lexicographer, and research manager for assessment products.

Samantha Bernardo, English teacher and Bilingual Education specialist, is an Academic Specialist in Brazil, where she supports schools nationwide through teacher training, bilingual curriculum development, and innovative pedagogical practices.

Cecilia Castellano is an Academic Consultant at Pearson. She holds a degree in English Language Teaching from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Argentina, and has ten years’ experience teaching and nine years at Pearson across the Southern Cone.

Débora Dichiara, English teacher and ICT specialist, is an Academic Consultant at Pearson, where she’s been empowering educators for 11+ years through training on digital platforms, pedagogical resources, and innovative learning solutions. 

Robert Derbyshire is an Assessment Manager for Pearson. He has worked as a language teacher and academic manager for over 20 years. Robert currently manages the development of several Pearson tests, including English Benchmark Test and PEIC. He has a Masters in TESOL from Nottingham University.

Yes. You can earn a certificate after attending each webinar. We'll send you a survey 24 hours after the webinar ends, and you can download your certificate once the survey is completed.

You need to attend six out of seven webinars in the Teacher Training Academy. Upon meeting this requirement, you'll receive a Credly badge and a Teacher Training Academy completion certificate.
