The Yolngu community is located in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. People from the Yirritja clans of north-east Arnhem Land have chosen to share one of their traditional stories.Â
Djulpan is a Dreaming story that tells of the Warramiri man who gave the islands colours. The story is traditionally told in Djambarrpuyu (Dhuwa) language and has been presented in English for Sharing Our Stories.

Its aim is to protect, maintain and grow language, stories and cultural heritage using digital technologies and artforms for the benefit of children.
This landmark series supports shared reading, comprehension and critical literacy skills, as well as Humanities and Social Sciences in middle and upper primary classrooms.
