The Neunone people come from Bruny Island, an island just off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania. People from the Bruny Island community have chosen to share one of their traditional stories.
The Creation of Trowenna is a Creation story that tells of how Tasmania came to be. This story was originally told by the Aboriginal storyteller Wooreddy, and has been retold for Sharing Our Stories.
