The Pearson Global Content Policy is updated regularly and applies across Pearson divisions, including Pearson Canada higher ed. This policy is designed to enable our global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (“DE&I”) Goal—to drive the transformation of learning by adding more life, to more moments, for more people—in the Content we offer, throughout our business. We are implementing this goal by building a culture of belonging for everyone who works for and with us and by creating more opportunities for diverse perspectives to be heard and valued. Additionally, we are committed to designing learning experiences for our employees, business partners, learners, and customers that are equitable, inclusive, and enriching.
The Policy provides a set of coherent and consistent principles that define Pearson’s Global Content and Editorial standards. This Policy aims to ensure that our learners remain at the heart of what we do. We intend to ensure all Pearson Content is underpinned by our shared Purpose, Values, Mission, and Vision; DE&I Goal; and the Pillars of our Sustainable Business Strategy.
This Policy, in conjunction with our Accessibility Framework, establishes objectives for ensuring diverse and equitable representation in our Content. These objectives include embedding and advancing anti-bias approaches, social equity, and sustainability in teaching and learning.
