Can I access MyEnglishLab from a mobile device?
Yes, you can access MyEnglishLab from any mobile device.
Note: Content may be not fully responsive. The Adobe Flash plugin is not supported on iPads and iPhones on versions 10.0 and lower, and on Google Chrome browser. This means that to use the recording option it is best to use iOS 11.0 and higher and Safari browser. For more information on technical requirements, please check the list of system requirements for MEL.
How can I register to MyEnglishLab?
To create an account for using MyEnglishLab, please:
- Go to english.com/register.
- Choose your preferred language.
- Click on Create an Account.

How can I sign into my instructor account?
To sign into MyEnglishLab:
- Go to english.com/login and enter your existing Username and Password.
- Click on Sign in button.

What can I do if my institution is not listed?
If your institution is not listed, you can select "Other". To get your institution added to the list, please submit a request.
How can I add MyEnglishLab product to my account?
For detailed instructions on how to add a product go to the help article.
To add a MyEnglishLab product to your account, you need an appropriate access code. If you don't have an instructor access code, please contact your local Pearson sales representative.
Where can I find my course ID?
To find your Course ID:
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Course Management, locate your course on the list.
- You will see the Course ID under the Course name. Give the Course ID to students and teachers wishing to join your course.
Note: A second teacher can also join your course by using the Course ID.
What should I do if I purchased the wrong access code?
If you have purchased an incorrect access code you should contact Pearson Technical Support for further assistance as soon as possible. Please include your access code in the message.
How do I extend my course end date?
To extend a course end date:
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Course Management, locate your course and then click on Manage.
- Under Course Settings, click on Change course details.
- Enter the new Course End Date.
- Click on OK to save the changes.
How do I become a Program administrator?
An institution may nominate one or more staff members to be program administrators. This person may be dedicated to administration only or may combine administration with teaching. The program administrator oversees all courses within school and manages all teachers groups from the program administrator account.
To become a program administrator:
- Click on the Personal Profile section under the Settings tab.
- Click on Switch to Program Administrator role.
- Click on Save button to confirm changes.
Note: A program administrator isn't a permanent role. You can revert back to a teacher role after you have done the necessary changes.
How do I retrieve my username and/or password?

How do I extend or delete an assignment?
Extending Assignments Due Date
There may be times when a teacher wants to extend an assignment due date. Extending an assignment due date will not affect students who already submitted the assignment.
To extend an assignment due date:
- Click on the Assignments tab.
- Locate the assignment in the To Do List, Calendar, or Recent Activity tab and then click on Edit.
- Select the new due date and time and click on Save.
Note:
- Click on the Recent Activity tab to find an expired assignment and recover it by extending its due date.
- When extending the date for an activity that was assigned along with other activities, all activities will be affected by this change.
Deleting Assignments
Teachers can easily delete Assignments at any time.
To delete an assignment:
- Click on the Assignments tab.
- Locate the assignment in the To Do List or Recent Activity sections and then click on the delete icon next to the activity.
- Click on OK to confirm you wish to delete the assignment.
Note:
- Deleting an assignment will delete students’ submissions and grades. It will also remove the assignment from the Gradebook and To Do List.
- Deleted assignments cannot be recovered.
How to show/hide content?
Hiding/Showing Content
Teachers have an option to Show or Hide content. If shown, students can access the content from the table of contents page (Course tab) or the Assignments tab once assigned by the teacher. If the activity is hidden, students will not have access to the content.
Note:
- Tests activities are hidden by default and will never appear in the student Table of Contents. Once assigned by the teacher, tests will show on Assignments tab.
- To check how your students will see the Table of Contents, you can toggle between teacher and student view by clicking on Student View/Teacher View.
To hide or show content:
- Click on the Course tab.
- Use the Change course drop-down list to select your course.
- To hide/show an entire unit, click on the button on the top left-hand corner of the unit bucket to change the status from Visible for Students to Hidden for Students or vise-versa.
Note: The unit bucket will turn grey to indicate this unit and all unit content is now hidden. This will also appear as greyed out in the Student View. - To hide/show sections or individual activities, click to open the unit. You can show or hide content using the buttons to the right of the Table of Contents.
Note: You can also hide/show content from the Gradebook tab using the Table of Contents. Click on the eye icon next to a unit title [A] or an exercise [B] to hide/show them from the students.
Can I have both - teacher and student products on my account?
On MyEnglishLab you can have only one role. However, you will have an option to switch into student view on your teacher account. Please check this help article for more information.
If you want to have a student account, you need to register for a second time as a student.

How do I retrieve my username and/or password?

- If you are in a course, your teacher can also reset your password.
- If you forgot your username, please contact Pearson Technical Support.
Note: Make sure to check your Email Spam folder if you don't get the email with password reset link.
I mistakenly lost or damaged my access code. What should I do?
Contact Us to submit a ticket or start a live chat with one of our Technical Support Representatives.
Please prepare a photo of the damaged access code and/or a confirmation of its purchase.

How can I add a product on my student account?
To add a MyEnglishLab product to your account, you will need a student access code for the product you are using.

How do I update my profile (name change, email address, etc)?
For instructions on how to change your settings, including personal details, visit our help site.
Note: You cannot change your username and your first/middle/last names. If you have made a mistake in your name when registering, please contact Pearson Technical Support.
I'm getting error message "invalid access code". How do I resolve this issue?
- Please enter the code using capital letters.
- Type in dashes.
- Please make sure that there are no spaces between, before or at the end of the code.
- If you continue to have issues, please contact Technical Product Support.
I don’t have an email address, how do I create one?
Most Pearson online products require email address during registration. An Email address is used to send your account confirmation message just in case you forget your login information.

My access code is not working. What should I do?
- Access codes have six parts separated with a dash and look similar to this:
LSWMWL-HELLO-LEARN-SIDED-TOPAZ-VEXES - Each access code can be used only once. The access code is needed to register or add a new product.
- Make sure that you have not used the code already.
- If you have bought a second-hand book, you might need to purchase a new access code.
- If you continue to have issues, please contact Technical Product Support.
I'm getting error message when logging in "The username or password is incorrect." How do I resolve this issue?
- If you forgot your password please check Recovering your Password article on the help system.
- If you are in a course, your teacher can also reset your password.
- If you do not remember your username, please contact Pearson Technical Support.
I'm getting error message: "The access code has already been used". How do I resolve this issue?
- Please make sure that you have not already registered the code yourself.
- Each access code can be used only once. If the code came with a used book, you may need to buy a new code.
- If this didn’t answer your question, click Contact Us to submit a ticket or start a live chat with one of our Technical Support Representatives. Please include your access code in the message.
How do I register an access code if I already have a Pearson account? I would like to use the same login information.
You can skip through the registration process by entering your username and password.
Adding Another Product
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under My Courses, click on Add Product.
- Enter the Access code for the product. An access code looks like this: EESGMB-YAWS-POME-SYNC-BAWL-LAIT. Remember to type in the dashes.
- Click Add product.
Note: The added product will be visible under My Courses only if you join a course based on this product.
Can I leave the course?
No, you can only be removed from the course by your teacher.
